Hyundai New Elantra Review
- Upcoming new in indian market in 2012.
- Just like the Sonata, the new fluidic Elantra is also just round the corner.
- However unlike the Sonata, the Elantra gets a rather sporty hue to its design.
- The large headlamps and ridged bonnet add to this feel.
- Short overhangs at the rear meanwhile give it a stout look.
- Inside, the new Elantra offers a more rounded design.
- A large chunky steering wheel offers controls for audio and Bluetooth telephony.
- The Elantra will be powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine which offers around 146bhp.
Tata Safari Storme (Upcoming) :
Expected launch Date : Jul 2012
Estimated Price : N/A
5 July, 2012: Tata Safari Storme codenamed earlier as Tata Merlin,
was unveiled at the Auto Expo this year.
- Apparently, Upcoming New Car in Indian Market 2012 Tata Safari Storme was supposed to launch by the end of June or early July 2012.
- However the situation is changed now and Tata Safari Storme launch has been delayed.
- The much awaited SUV from the stables of Indian auto major Tata Motors is now going to break covers this festive season.
- As no doubt in India Diwali is the best time for any car manufacturer to launch its vehicle and the preparations still have not reached zenith,
- Tata decided to postpone the launch.
- This sought after SUV from Indian auto major Tata will ride on
- Tata Aria platform and would turn out to be an awesome performer on road and off road as the X2 chassis and double wishbone suspension is borrowed from Aria.
- The Tata Safari Storme carries the same 2.2 litre of DiCOR engine but will be mated to a new G76 MKII gearbox for better gear shifts.
- This engine is capable of producing the same 140 BHP of power along with 315 Nm of torque.
- The interiors have been done in pseudo wood finish, while the high quality upholstery further adds more charm to the SUV.
- The wheel arches on the exterior have been done beautifully with new wheels, which come out to be the USP of the car.
- Tata Safari Storme price would be kept competitive thereby giving a strong competition to its rivals in the Indian car market.
- Our guess is around Rs 10 lakh.
- Keep checking this space for more updates.
Premier Rio Diesel BS-IV (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Jul 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 6.50-7 lakhs
Premier Rio Diesel BS-IV
is not launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Premier Rio Diesel BS-IV Review
Not many know about the country’s first mini
SUV. It is mainly because till recently the Rio was not sold in the metro
cities due to lack of BSIV compliant engines and also due to limited sales and
service network of this Pune base manufacturer. However, Premier has now
revived its age-old ties with Fiat in bid to improve sales of their sole
passenger vehicle, the Rio. This vehicle is based on a Chinese model called the
Zoyte Nomad; it is currently available with 1.2-litre BSIV petrol and 1.5-litre
BSIII diesel. This is Upcoming New Car in Indian Market 2012.
With the new deal with Fiat, the Rio will get the reliable,
efficient and the highest selling diesel engine in India – 1.3-litre Fiat
multijet. The engine will be tuned to produce 75bhp and 105Nm of torque; the
power rating is exactly same as the one seen in the Swift, Ritz, Vista and the
Punto. There won’t be too many changes to the exteriors or interiors as the
model was refreshed during the 2012 Auto Expo in January. The new variant of
the Rio with Fiat engine is expected to cost Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom
Maharashtra).
With the new diesel engine, the Rio will be sold in all tier-I
metro cities in India and Premier is preparing to open a number of dealerships
in the coming days. The Rio is a very practical option in the rural areas – its
costs about the same as a premium hatchback, but has the availability to
venture on dirt roads with high ground clearance and now also comes with an
economical diesel. We doubt if city dwellers will opt for the Rio, but the new
engine will certainly improve Premier sales in the rural market.
Mercedes-Benz B-class (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Aug-Sep 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 18-25 lakhs
Mercedes-Benz B-class is
not launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Mercedes-Benz B-class Review
Mercedes-Benz in India had been waiting for the new B-class
to arrive and now that it has, the company will launch it here soon. The
B-class now sports a design more matured than before, albeit with signature
Mercedes design elements. Interiors have been tweaked to offer better room.
First time features on the B include Pre-Safe, Blind Spot and Lane Assist,
among others. New direct-injection petrol engines are being offered. This
includes a 1.6-litre B180 with 122bhp and the B200 with 156bhp. A 1.8-litre
common-rail diesel is planned which will pump out 109bhp and 136bhp.
Transmissions will either be a 7G-DCT dual-clutch or a six-speed manual. Upcoming New Car in Indian Market 2012.
Mahindra Mini-Xylo (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Aug-Sep 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 5-6 lakhs
Mahindra Mini-Xylo is not
launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Mahindra
Mini-Xylo Review
Mahindra has tasted success with the Xylo's
value, and it is going to replicate it by going one step further along the
'value' path: a shorter, five-seater mini-Xylo that will duck under four metres
in length and therefore enjoy a tax sop. Translated, you'll have to sacrifice
the third row for a much cheaper price tag.
The wheels appear smaller in profile, and the
shortened boot will have space comparable with hatchbacks. It also seems likely
that the spare wheel will be mounted at the back on the door, like an
old-school SUV. Power is expected to run from a downsized version the 1.5-litre
diesel currently doing duty in the Logan. Upcoming New Car in Indian Market. If it displaces less than 1.4 litres,
it gives Mahindra another excise cut to contribute towards the low price
tag.
The mini-Xylo is expected to launch in the
middle of the year and go head-to-head on the price front with the Renault
Duster, or even undercut it.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Aug-Sep 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 120-150 lakhs
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Roadster is not launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster Review
The Upcoming New One in Indian Market Mercedez Beng SLS AMG Roadster Having More Features Take a Look on this Briefly. While India has already got the SLS AMG, the
Roadster will also come into the market next year. The Roadster features a
fabric roof that folds up and down at the flick of a button, in just ten
seconds. This transformation from top up to top down could even be done on the
go, at upto 50kmph. The roof can be had in a choice of black, red or beige
shades. Finally the price you pay for beauty is a little bit of luggage space.
Skoda Yeti AT (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Aug-Sep 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 14-18 lakhs
Skoda Yeti AT is not
launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Skoda Yeti AT Review
Upcoming New Car in Indian Market 2012 Skoda
always had plans to introduce a DSG variant as an additional option on the
Yeti. So, we can expect the DSG ‘box this year. So, the Yeti will get a new
expensive variant with the DSG that will cost about a lakh rupees more. Apart
from this, the company is also likely to introduce a less powerful 110 bhp 2-
litre Yeti as well by the year of 2012. The 110bhp engine is the same one that
currently powers the manual version of the Skoda Laura. With this engine, Skoda
will be able to reduce the price of the entry-level Yeti. So, you can expect
the prices to drop by a lakh and a half.
Honda Civic 2012 (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Oct-Dec 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 12-15 lakhs
Honda Civic 2012 is not
launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Honda Civic 2012 Review
The
Civic, which turned heads when launched, is ready in a new generation avatar.
Like many other manufacturers, Upcoming New Car in Indian Market 2012 Honda too seems to be following the concept of a
‘corporate face’ for all its cars which it calls the ‘one-motion, monoform
design.’ So the Civic has now adopted the theme first seen in the current Honda
City. The design has more or less done away from the curves seen before and
adopted more of angles. Ground clearance too seems to have been increased.
Inside, changes have been made to the dash, although the two-tier theme
remains. The 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine will carry on, albeit retuned for better
performance and fuel economy as well.
Nissan Evalia (Upcoming)
Expected Launch: Oct-Dec 2012
Expected Price: Rs. 8-10 lakhs
Nissan Evalia is not
launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.
Nissan Evalia Review
Upcoming New Car in indian market 2012 Apart from launching a whole host of cars,
Nissan is planning to launch the NV200 van in India. The NV200 is a rather
large van that packs in smart looks and ten seats inside, which can be adjusted
in multiple ways. Two variants are expected to come to India – a passenger
version and a cargo version. The Nissan NV200 is built on the modified
Renault-Nissan B-Alliance platform and will have the 1.5 dCi engine (the same
engine block used on the old Renault Logan). However, the NV200 will produce
85bhp of power. Expect it to cost around the Rs 10 lakh.
Specs (Speculated)
Engine: 1.5-litre dCi engine
Power: 80-85bhp
CarWale's Words: If priced well, the
Nissan designed MPV could give its competitors a run for their money.
